Don’t wonder why people go crazy.  Wonder why they don’t.  In the face of all we can lose in a day, in an instant, wonder what it is that makes us hold it together.

      -Grey's (I know.  I'm obsessed.  It's okay.)
We're moving.  It's all happening pretty fast, and I'm a little bit sad about leaving our one-bedroom Love Shack.  With its big windows and convenient location.  But I know we'll be fine.  Which is so bizarrely positive of me.

Drew has definitely rubbed off on me.   It's bound to happen at some point, I guess.  When you eat, sleep, brush your teeth and have the majority of your conversations with a specific someone for a considerable amount of time.  Not complaining.
We'll be living in my brother's house for a few months (he and his wife are in Florida for the summer) while we find another place to live.  We're putting in an offer on a house that we're hoping and praying we get.  Perfect size, location, price, everything.

So, if you're at all religious, say a little prayer for us, yes?

If you aren't religious, cross your fingers or boil some herbs or whatever it is you think may bring us some good fortune.  Not that we're especially lacking in it.

It's just there's a garage and storage space and a yard!  A real yard with grass and trees!  Can you even imagine?  And this is really unlike me because I usually avoid talking about any potential good thing until it is a guarantee.  So...not sure what's happening right now.

It's a pretty obnoxious process, moving.  Even though Drew does the majority of the heavy lifting.

But what were we supposed to do, leave our precious kitty out on the street?!

As if.

  1. A house a house!!! Prayers are coming your wayyy! I can't even imagine buying a house, but then again, I need to buy milk and I can't bring myself to spend the two dollars on that this week. Dry cereal isn't that bad... right? Anyway, this is about you! Good luck with packing and getting settled!

    1. I actually love dry cereal, especially Reese's Puffs. When cereal gets soggy, it's one of the most depressing things. That and spending money!

We want to buy because our monthly mortgage payment will be about the same as our rent in most places. And we can keep our cat haha. That's obviously the most important.

  2. Moving is a huge pain in the kiester. We just finished a move that took over a year. Granted, we had lived in the previous house for over 15 years, so there was a lot to do.

Anyway, you guys will be great :) Best wishes and I'll shoot up a prayer for ya!

  3. This is the perfect post. I'm moving in about a month and I'm so nervous/anxious/excited/ready/hidingunderthecovers. But this post makes me feel better.

I'm the same as you are in the positivity aspect. I have gotten weirdly positive as of late, all new to me. I'm trying though.

Shooting out all the good vibes I can into the universe!

  6. Yay for moving! That's so exciting :) A yard sounds like a lovely change.

p.s. "Don’t wonder why people go crazy. Wonder why they don’t." So true. My sister and I always wonder how celebrities stay in the spotlight and don't break down...Amanda Bynes must have been normal, because she snapped.

    1. Poor Amanda. That was such a shame. Also, the President. How does HE do that? So many people hating him or trying to stalk him, in the midst of all of that responsibility?

We've gotten a bit off track here haha but you understand.

  9. Moving is really awful, but I hate the unpacking process even more. Good luck with the house! Such a stressful/fun time, I remember it fondly. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed tightly for you and you'll be in my thoughts/prayers!

P.S I sent you a baby shower invitation to your address you sent me, and I'm assuming this is the address your moving out of? If so, I hope you get it! Let me know if you don't and I will send you the details!

    1. Seriously, it's really exciting but I'm dying inside! It's a short sale so who knows how long it might take. I'm so anxious. It's terrible.

Anyway, our contract on our apt doesn't end until the end of July. We still have some furniture to get out of there, so I'll grab your invite! No worries!

    2. Oh gosh. That word "short sell" is like a really, really dirty, terrible, curse word that a 5 year old just said. We messed with a short sell and I couldn't handle the wait. We kept looking while sitting on the short sell and eventually found our home that wasn't a short sell (thank goodness). You're probably more patient than me so it might not be as long as a wait for you guys :) I'm the "I want it now" type, so it didn't work for me. Craig on the other hand would've been fine with waiting for years to hear back on it. This is where we clash.

Sounds good! Just wanted to make sure because I would love to see your lovely face there! I'm dreading the whole dang thing, so it will be nice to have some relief and maybe catch up with you a bit!

    3. "a really, really dirty, terrible, curse word that a 5 year old just said." EXACTLY! I hate them but they're usually such good deals! How do banks live with themselves? Just making people wait and wait like that?

Anyway, showers are so awkward. SO awkward. I'll do my best to keep you from feeling awkward, but I will be so I'm not sure how well I'll do with that. It takes meditation and prayer for me to prepare for one of those things haha but you and your future child are worth it.

    4. Because banks suck and they enjoy making people miserable. They need to get it together and stop being so mean.

I usually need a some medication and prayer as well, but I can't take any medication cause I'm pregnant...so I'll be saying lots and lots and lots of prayers. I've even considering lying and telling everyone I went into early labor and they can just leave their gifts at the door. Does that make me a terrible person?

    5. If it makes you a terrible person, then I'm a terrible person too. Because you saying things like that is the reason I love you so much haha.

  10. Moving's the worst. Ugh.

That's one of my favorite Grey's quotes, and there are a lot of good ones.

I love reading what you have to say about what I had to say. Feel free to leave those thoughts here.
