Upbupguk

I realized last week that I have thousands of pictures of clients and acquaintances, and hardly any of my people. And so I made a goal to take more pictures of those who mean most to me. It's easy to neglect documenting a regular old family dinner or that one time mom and I went over to Clay and Brit's to babysit Elli when she was obsessed with Upbupguk (Uptown Funk). But being with these people is not any mundane occasion. After all, as CS Lewis said, "The present is the point at which time touches eternity."

I've been overwhelmed lately, with the concept of time. Each night I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, wondering at how there is never enough. Never enough time for the people I love and the things I want to do and to be. It feels like a riddle or some sort of cruel joke. And so, I am weilding documentation as my personal weapon against it. Against that sinking feeling at the end of the day and all of these indifferent clocks.

  1. I totally feel the same way. so many books to read, skills to gain, things i can do with my career, but end up doing not that much because i end up getting so overwhelmed by it all.

  2. Meghan, this is beautiful! You can know, that I know, you give it a great effort to be with us. Your such a wonderful daughter. These pictures just made me giggle. You captured so much from just one evening together.

I love reading what you have to say about what I had to say. Feel free to leave those thoughts here.
