transition.

I sit outside at lunch, eating home made mac and cheese in sandals and a breezy t-shirt with the entire half of each of my legs showing out the bottom of my shorts.  And I'm sweating just a little, but I resist the urge to run back into the air conditioned sanctuary.

Simply for the reason that I know this will seem impossible in a matter of weeks.

  1. I need to do this. Today my brother has a soccer game, I guess I won't complain about the weather ;)

  2. I think about this all the time... today, I wore a long sleeved shirt because I am so ready for it to be fall. I regretted it as I walked out the door and began sweating, but didn't change for just this reason. I get it. I totally get it.

    1. haha! Oh Syd. Hey, I'm still down for guitar, but I know you're busy. So you just let me know the weeks where you feel like you'll have time.

  5. i am so with you!! i have been in such a love/hate relationship with the heat. my body tells me to get away, and that i should be upset with the heat, but my mind is telling me that exact same thing... "I know this will seem impossible in a matter of weeks." Taking advantage of these lasts summer days and nights for sure!

  6. Wow this post really struck me today. I keep willing this year to end so i can get to some big goals down the road. But as much as I want this year or this month to be over, I am going to miss the simplicity of summer days and feeling like I can just go outside and sit for a while. I love the freedom to go write on my driveway or just take a walk without having to spend hours bundling up. Thanks for reminding me how much I need to be outside in these next few weeks. Knowing Utah, it will snow tomorrow.

    1. Exactly. I saw the tiniest bit of snow on the mountains this weekend, after the rain. It's coming!

I love reading what you have to say about what I had to say. Feel free to leave those thoughts here.
