food and marriage

I had a realization this weekend.

You can never ever ever ever ever go wrong by ordering fajitas.

I mean, let's get real here.

Bell peppers, onions, spices, and chicken, all sizzling in delicious marinade dancing with white flour tortilla, sour cream and guacamole in a blissful combination of divine glory?!

Drew and I went to Z Tejas on Saturday night after a fun day of running around Salt Lake City.  Obviously, I ordered fajitas.  I can't stop thinking about it, and need to go back.

It's so fun to have someone to do everything with.  I'm good at being alone, but my husband is just my partner in crime.  Not that we actually ever do anything illegal.  But I take him with me everywhere and we have so much fun.  Sitting in that restaurant stuffing our faces is some of the most fun I've ever had.

It was a concern of mine that after we were married we would start fighting about everything.  Because married people fight, right?  But it's actually been so nice and peaceful and easy.  Not to say our whole lives are easy, but he definitely has a way of making things easier.

I guess we're both very laid-back, low-profile, simple people.  So it makes sense.  He's such a real man, helping with laundry and dinner and having that beard and always being kind and respectful and hanging things on the wall and helping my dye my hair.  I should probably blog about my husband more.  It just seems so personal. But I do adore him, through and through.  Him and fajitas!

I love reading what you have to say about what I had to say. Feel free to leave those thoughts here.
